Wildgame Innovations CamLock box

There are not many pictures of these boxes on the website and I was hesitant to order because of that. But I didn't find any other options to protect my cameras. I ordered two along with a python cable for each (keyed the same at my request) they arrived with a couple days. The packaging was exceptional. Everything was wrapped in foam paper. The box however looked like it was laying around in the corner of the wearhouse. Not a big deal though. Everything inside was in perfect condition. And considering what I intend to do with these camera boxes they will be scratched and possibly dented at some point.

Now for the camera boxes them selves. I have to say I was very impressed at first inspection. Very heavy gauge steel. The ports are all pressed out with dies. Or at least it sea that way. No visible signs of cutting.

I haven't had a chance to mount either one of them yet but I fear the flat back will be problematic when trying to strap to a round tree. The one great feature of the wildgame innovation cameras is the battery packs that flex and grab the bark. I suppose that's the price I pay for security. There seems to be mounting holes on the back of the camera boxes to attach something. Maybe the swivel mount. I'm not sure. Would be nice if BoxCam had something like this. Maybe in the future.

We are not allowed to mount anything permanently to the trees where I will be using these cameras and boxes. So I'm out of luck for the lag bolts. If you are than I wouldn't even worry about the flat back issue.

All in all if someone wants your camera their going to get it. In my opinion these camera boxes keep the honest people honest. And that's good enough for me.

I would defiantly buy these boxes again and have recommended them to friends in similar situations. Well built and great quality product.
